About Us

Because ordinary travel is easy to forget.
Extraordinary travel changes you.

Sparkful Journeys is a travel design and coaching practice created for people navigating life transitions, seeking renewal, or ready to experience the world in a deeper, more meaningful way.

I work with thoughtful travelers who value intentional planning, extraordinary experiences, and journeys that support where they are in life right now. Every trip is designed to feel safe, personal, and seamless. The goal isn't just to see beautiful places, it's to create space for reflection, connection, and joy so you return home feeling more like yourself.

I believe travel can help you find yourself again.

Today, I help others design journeys that feel safe, deeply personal, and intentionally crafted for the season of life they're in. Whether you're navigating change, craving adventure, or simply ready to reconnect with yourself, I'm here to guide you every step of the way.

That understanding is what led me to become a travel advisor and coach.

A private dinner tucked away from the noise. A conversation with a stranger that stayed with me long after I returned home. These moments weren't just memories. They were milestones in rediscovering myself.

Through travel, I rebuilt confidence, redefined connection, and learned that extraordinary travel isn't about doing more. It's about feeling more present, more alive, and more connected to who you're becoming.

On those trips, I discovered resilience I didn't know I had. I learned to trust myself again. I realized that extraordinary journeys don't happen by accident. They're created through intention, care, and thoughtful design.

Travel became a mirror.

Those questions led me to my first solo journeys, from Africa to Europe.

I lost my brother. I experienced a series of career transitions. My long marriage came to an end. Travel, which had always been rooted in family and partnership, suddenly felt uncertain. I questioned who I was on my own and whether traveling solo would feel empowering or just lonely.

That changed when life shifted in ways I didn't expect.

Travel has always been part of my life. Some of my earliest memories are camping trips with my family, long drives with music playing on 8-tracks, and nights spent laughing around a campfire. Travel felt joyful and grounding. It was about togetherness, shared experiences, and simple adventure.

As my career grew, travel stayed with me. I learned how to turn business trips into something more by choosing places with character and connecting with people along the way. Travel was meaningful, but it was still something I did around life, not something that helped me navigate it.

In Nairobi, I arranged a private tour with a local guide. As I was leaving the hotel, it suddenly hit me that I was completely alone. No one knew where I was going or who I would be with.

I mentioned my plans to the bellman. Without hesitation, he took my phone, called the Uber, contacted the guide, and made sure every detail was confirmed.

When I returned that evening, he was still there. He had stayed after his shift to make sure I came back safely.

The guide himself was wonderful, and we still keep in touch on Instagram. That experience reminded me how powerful it feels to be truly cared for and seen, especially when you're far from home.

In France, I joined a day trip to Champagne with three complete strangers. Within minutes, conversation flowed easily. It felt as if we had known each other for years.

That day reinforced something important: even when you travel solo, you're never really alone unless you choose to be. Connection is always possible when you stay open to it.

Vienna brought a different kind of clarity. I wandered the city on my own, feeling deeply alive, meeting people, and taking in its beauty. Later, I wrote in my journal how much I loved my life and being in my own company.

At the same time, there was sadness. The last time I was in Vienna, I was traveling with my family. Standing in the same city, I felt how much my life had changed and how much I had changed with it.

That's what extraordinary travel does. It holds space for all of it: the joy, the grief, the growth, and the gratitude.
